Ear training that transfers to real production work

SkillLab is ear training in your browser, built around the sounds production work actually contains. The Ear basics tier trains raw perception: pure tones and octaves, bell-like decays, rising sweeps, narrow noise bands, and voiced phrases, each synthesized fresh so you score against the sound, not your memory of a file.

The Production tier trains the judgments engineers make daily: hear whether compression touched a signal, locate an EQ boost by frequency, estimate integrated LUFS by ear before the meter confirms it, and detect clipping before it reaches a limiter. Scores are stored locally; sign in and your attempts, streaks and per-challenge progress sync to your Workspace.

The point is speed: trained ears spot the problem before the meters do, and the meters then confirm it in seconds instead of minutes. SkillLab uses the same synthesized-reference approach as the rest of AudioLab, so what you learn maps one-to-one onto the numbers MixLab and VoiceLab report.
